With over a decade of activism and representing members on the SEC, I know how to get things done in our Party and in Holyrood.
This is personal for me. When growing up got tough, our Labour movement gave me a voice, and the Scottish Coop Party gave me a mission.
Sports and politics kept me on the straight and narrow, and taught me that passion alone isn’t enough. It takes discipline, hard work, and team effort to win.
So I’ll be out in all weathers, winning over our neighbours to put Anas into Bute House, so we can deliver what we’ve all been working towards: A Scottish Labour government in Holyrood once again.
I want to energise our grassroots to defeat the SNP. Then, we need to build more housing, expand community energy and secure a publicly run bus company for the Greater Glasgow area.
While running to be your next Labour MSP, I want to know what matters most to you. Please call, WhatsApp, or text me on +447774575441 to chat.
As my constituent, you will always be my first priority. I will be your voice in Holyrood; not Holyrood's voice in our community. I will bring your passions and ideas from the doorstep to the parliamentary chamber.
The campaigning starts the day after I am selected. I will make sure that Scottish Labour is a campaigning presence all year round in every corner of the constituency - there will be no off limit areas.
I will be an accessible, community focussed MSP. I will run a full-time constituency office and hold regular street and drop in surgeries that are accessible to you.
I will bring together the expertise of our local members as well as the campaigning expertise of our trade union colleagues to defeat the Tories and the SNP to deliver a new deal for Scottish workers.
It was a commitment in our Labour Manifesto for East Renfrewshire that we would bring a credit union back. Looking forward to the opening next week and the introduction of support services from MART and CAB to make it more than just a simple credit union.
In the Commons, I've called for the SNP to stop dithering & work with the Labour govt to invest in defence skills.
The SNP failed to with an Advanced Welding Centre.
I'm so pleased @JohnHealey_MP in his #Lab25 speech announced we will fund this new centre where the SNP failed.
Starmer: “Think about it- when was the last time @Nigel_Farage said something positive about Britain’s future? He can’t. He doesn’t like Britain. he wants to turn our proud country into a competition of victims.”
Please stop with the Americanisation of UK politics.
But also shows that the PM was correct to call Farage out for exactly this.
in his speech responding to the Prime Minister, Nigel Farage refers to the local elections in May as “our version of the midterms”
She literally is.
A great initiative launched today, now let’s see if the devolved administrations integrate to provide great care across our four nations

Anyone who has worked in the civil service in the last 20 years could tell you this
We literally called it the sea of red all the things that were about to fall over on themselves and cause cascade failures
NEW PM's Whitehall enforcer Darren Jones is unimpressed by the Government's IT.
He tells the Global Progress Action conference: "The reason the system is rubbish because all of the IT is rubbish. We have legacy IT systems, IT that doesn't talk to eachother.
"We have over 200 HR…
Carla & her party voted against Labour's Planning & Infrastructure Bill, which would have made this possible.
Getting on with the job 🇬🇧
This is my message to Scottish Labour members.
Point well made by @lukerobertblack ⬇️
I refuse to be lectured by a man, who is on marriage #3, that my relationship is less important or valuable than his because we are men
Jake and I will make excellent parents. We will provide a home for a child stuck in the horrors of the care system.
How dare you @Nigel_Farage
Last time I checked @RepRaskin had quite a lot to say on free speech that annoyed you so much that you said you had to leave early…
Today I testified in front of the House Judiciary Committee.
Not a single member had a positive word to say about the state of free speech in Britain today.
